The modern treatment plant is controlled by a PLC system and involves washing, size classification (both hydraulic and mechanical) and gravimetric process to produce up to 20.000 tons per month of silica sand.

The treatment plant does not produce scraps, because over the intermediate grain size which is the main product, the coarse sand is sold for many industrial use and the finer fraction, consisting mainly of Kaolinitic clay is sold in the ceramic sector.

There is also a modern system to treat the water reach of fine material (clay) obtained by the washing process. This clay is processed by a decanter and then by a filterpress to obtain a panel of clay and mainly to recycle all the water in the processing plant.
